Get Far Out Designs With DichroMagic Sample Packs
Combination packs make it possible to try all four colorful tie dye patterns. The unique color coatings create amazing effects when viewed in different lighting, from different angles, or when layered. Colors shift and sparkle with metallic brilliance. During firing, a crazing effect appears, creating a subtle crinkle appearance in the color coating. Includes three 2" x 4" pieces of each of 4 patterns, 2 pieces with Rainbow coating and 1 with Premium Rainbow coating, for a total of 12 pieces. 90 COE.

There are no extra boxing charges for glass packs. Photo is one example. Actual glass may vary from photo.

Below is a sample of the crazing effect described above. The pendant shown below by artist Melanie Churchill uses several colors of DichroMagic for a bold design. Etched dichroic pendant done on Tie Dye pattern on black created by artist KC Eddy of Dianna Effner Porcelain Dolls, Inc., from Delphi's Online Artist Gallery. Lamp created with larger sheet of Tie Dye dichroic glass by artist Deborah Hardy, from Delphi's Online Artist Gallery.

  •   Great Sampler pack

Pros : Loved the bright colors and patterns. Especially liked in the tie die funky. Made some fantastic pendants with it. I wanted to rush out and purchase more after I saw how vibrant the colors were when I took them out of the kiln. I think they are even brighter then other dirchoic glass.
Cons : The only bad thing I have to say and it really isn't bad is that the glass was unpredictable in the kiln. I had to increase the temperature & length of the soak to make it fuse with the 90 base glass. Also, some of the coatings crinkled a lot and others not so much. Overall you will find it crinkles a lot more than other dichro. I preferred not capping the glass with clear.
Other Thoughts : Would definitely recommend this sample pack if you are bored working with other dichro out there and you want to try something new in your jewellery pieces. You can make a lot out of the 12 pcs. you receive.

When and how did you get started in stained glass? Ive been interested in stained glass for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would sit in churches and watch the (often) biblical depictions come to life when a stray ray of sunlight cast its illumination our way. Sun shadows dancing. I dabbled in many media over the years, trying to find an outlet for some of the visions careening inside, but none of them took. Drawing, painting - even watercolours - no amount of professional training could guide my hand in a satisfactory way. But then there was the glass. I lived abroad for a few years, and wound my way through Europe on my way back to the States when I finished my Peace Corps Service. My last international destination was Paris, where one of my closest friends lives as an organist. Two beautiful autumn

Chances are, right now, in reading this blog post, youre avoiding an overdue task. I too was avoiding a laundry list of work-related tasks in writing this. Procrastination is a part of life, and its certainly always been a part of mine. As a teenager, my parents would accuse me of putting off everything from piano practice to math homework. Id vehemently deny their charges hissing back, I work better under pressure. The truth was, I often felt overwhelmed, under-productive and anxious. Over the years, Ive been able to combat my avoidance issues using 4 tools. The trick is constantly reminding myself of these actions, because they do not come naturally to me. 1. Just Say No. I say yes to everything. Need someone to head up that event? Sure. Want me to design 12 posters for the Car Wash? No problem. Take your kid to daycare? Of course.
