Stained Glass Workshop

Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project

Class Description: In this 3 hour class students will be taught basic stained glass construction including cutting, foiling and soldering. Create a stunning heart shaped suncatcher with a bevel center. Great for beginners!

Safety: Please do not work with solder or lead if you are expecting. Closed toe shoes are preferred when cutting glass. Safety glasses should be worn, will be provided if needed.

Tools & Materials Included: All supplies for the project
Use of our grinders

Additional Tools & Materials: Pen/ paper for notes - optional

Really Excellent Class!

Pros : Great beginner class! I had never done anything like this before and feel like I learned everything I needed to complete a basic project on my own. The instructor explained things clearly and walked us through step by step how to do everything, including explaining all of the tools and what they are used for.

Cons : While safety glasses were provided, I think it may have been nice to have some additional PPE (gloves, ventilation, masks) available and to make sure there weren’t any glass debris on the tables at the start. We walked away with some tiny scratches from the glass. This was just a super minor inconvenience - overall, the class was great.

Pros : Good class for beginners to learn the basics. Patient and helpful instructor.

Other Thoughts : Excited to try other classes.

Great for beginners!

Pros : Knowledgeable staff and very patient with people that are starting from ground zero.

Cons : The design but this would be very difficult to please everyone and the point is to just learn skills.

Other Thoughts : Staff was very eager to answer questions but wish there was a little more guidance on how to start to build your own setup at home. Again very minor, overall it was a very informative 3 hours.
