Features cool touch technology! The Hot Shot Clamshell kiln is the perfect kiln for any glass artist. The 12" x 12" x 6" size makes it perfect for fusing, casting and draping. The clamshell is designed for easy front access allowing you to easily move your project in and out of the kiln, as well as allowing you to do raking or other manipulation techniques. The adjustable TAP controller allows you to alter the screen's display to your liking. The elements are encased in Quartz Tubes so there is no need to worry about elements flaking into your projects!  What does cool touch technology mean? It means the body of the kiln never reaches above 15 degrees ambient temperature allowing you more workspace around your kiln. This kiln only requires 3" surrounding it.
