  •   Fun with Lead Came

Pros : Great instruction, and supplies provided. The class was made to be easy to learn this style of stained glass. I would take the class again, if another project is offered. Teacher was very helpful.
Cons : I would have loved to choose my own glass colors and cut it myself. The piece looks okay, but I would have preferred it to be a mirror or some other colors. Options limited to keep the class at a faster pace. Maybe offer an intermediate class?

  •   Exactly what I was looking for!
By on
Pros : This was exactly what I was looking for! I have completed some stained glass projects with foil, but never with lead, and after attending this class I feel confident to try a lead project on my own! I was happy to have a variety of patterns and colors to choose from. The instructor seemed very knowledgeable.
Cons : I would have liked to have been offered rubber gloves when applying the cement. It was runny, despite the instructor's stirring, and extremely messy. As I worked alone on my project in the back of the showroom area and while I shopped, I noticed that several of the people working in the store were involved in their own projects and they seemed unaware that someone might need guidance or assistance. While shopping, I was eventually helped by a kind younger man who seemed new but did his best to help me. I appreciated it.
Other Thoughts : The class ran about an hour and a half longer than expected. I would suggest extending the class time by at least an hour. The information sheet provided was helpful, but I would have liked to also have details on the exact sizes of lead and zinc came that we used. It might have been fun to play some soft music as we worked. The mood in the room was a bit dour and serious. All in all, I was glad I attended the class.

Pros : Well structured class with very knowledgeable instructor.
Cons : Provide a place where you can eat your own lunch.
Other Thoughts : I enjoyed taking this class very much, I will register for another class again. On the day of class give a discount coupon(10-20%) to the student for related material purchased at the shop.
