Pros : This takes the drudgery out of foiling. It is fast and the guide really does help apply the foil evenly. I clamp it down on the edge of my work table when I need to use it and then can easily move it out of the way when I am done. I like to have the "guides" over the edge of the table to facilitate larger pieces of glass.
Cons : None that I can think of and I have used one of these for years.

Pros : Instructions said use for 2 hours before deciding. Worked perfectly after just 15 minutes, even on tiny pieces.
Cons : None.
Other Thoughts : Forget the other foilers. This is the one to get.

Pros : It does keep the foil from getting all tangled up. It also peels the backing off for you.
Cons : It doesn't center the foil on the edge of the glass. I can do a better job of centering the foil without this tool.

Pros : This machine is great for applying your foil. It puts a slight crimp and makes it extremely easy to keep the foil centered.
Cons : Takes a bit of finessing to get your tension just right.

Pros : Wasn't sure I would like using a machine to help save time in foiling, but after just a few pieces of foiling on this machine, it cut foiling time in half. Mounted machine on heavy board so I can reposition it as necessary to achieve the best location and keep it portable. Would recommend highly.
Cons : none that I have found
