  •   Endless leaf possibilities

Pros : This mold has been a real joy to use! I love the realistic veining. I’ve been experimenting with coarse and fine frit combinations to achieve some unique looks. These would be ideal for small snack plates for Thanksgiving! I’m excited to lift up the lid of my kiln to see the interesting results every time.

Pros : Life-like details in the mold allow you to make a leaf that is jaw-dropping beautiful. The instructions for the wafer-thin process can create really cool leaves that need to be carefully mounted in a protective frame.
Cons : None!!
Other Thoughts : Can be slumped to be a beautiful bowl, or a life-like wavy leaf.

Pros : easy to use, large with great relief on the leaf veins

Other Thoughts : I used med frit, several colours and then after making 3 leaves, molded them together to make a wonderful Thanksgiving dish

Pros : Shape and size are perfect at approx. 9" x 7" for a finished leaf. By changing the colors you can achieve a variety of looks. Can be draped or slumped on other molds- just check visually and Skip Step when desired. Glass remains thin and does not draw in too much during firing. Veins are very detailed and natural looking. The slumping side creates a defined leaf plate, which is perfect as a dessert plate or hors d'oeuvre tray. This is one of my favorite molds.
Cons : None so far. I really love it.
Other Thoughts : The pdf file associated with the mold recommends using black powder for the veins. This is okay, but a mixture of black and brown produces more natural looking results.
