Pros : Awesome looking ornaments. So much fun to make.
Cons : The glass can be thin. These are very fragile.
Other Thoughts : I love making theses and giving as gifts. I wish Delphi would the ones that are a little bit thicker. They are not so fragile.

Other Thoughts : The tube can also be blown with a pale frit, and more advanced users can then apply stringer or millifiori

Pros : This was a fun kit, and I plan on purchasing more glass tubes. I was able to make really nice round ornaments by the 3rd or 4th try.
Cons : The instructions are very poor. I did an internet search for additional information before attempting this. I don't recommend this kit to someone who doesn't have some experience with torch work. You need to have a good feel for how glass moves when it is molten to know when to start blowing. I also don't recommend to anyone who does not have a kiln to anneal. The ornaments have thin enough glass that I don't think they will survive long without proper kiln annealing.
Other Thoughts : Make your flame big and bushy (turn down oxygen a bit and turn the propane up a bit). If you set the flame to the same size as for beadmaking you won't be very successful.

Pros : Once you get the hang of it, you can make some really lovely ornaments this way. I gave several away as gifts and even the imperfect ("artfully free form") shapes were well received. This is a nice basic kit so you can tell if you are patient enough to try more or not! I was hooked pretty fast and bought additional frit and glaskolben within days.
Cons : If given as a gift, remember the user needs several other things - a torch, fuel, safety glasses and a means to anneal (can be warmed vermiculite). A warning, unless you have experience, many or most may break or be disappointing. A dozen went pretty quickly while learning. Glass blowers make this look easy - it isn't, but it is fun! I did explode a couple. Never do this without safety glasses as minimum equipment. I received this as a gift and it wasn't complete (didn't have the millefiori). Usually I am very happy with Delphi so I think this was a fluke.
Other Thoughts : An add on to the kit, which includes a torch and safety glasses would be welcome. Instructions could be a bit better, and maybe add a video.
