Bio

Rhandie has been working in Stained Glass since 1997 and opened Blue Dragon Glass in 2001. She is self taught in the arts of Glass Carving and Etching and Kiln Worked Glass, ie Fusing and Slumping. She has been making glass fly in the form of dragons and fairies for a long time and has recently added flying pigs and ravens to the collection. She will be working on Pegasus and a Griffin next. She also draws patterns for and cuts her own stencils for sifted paint fusing and continues to etch and carve, constantly creating new and beautiful creations. She enjoys combining her methods in panels, lanterns, dishware, and many other works of art. She has an incredible eye for color, texture, and movement. She has a Bachelors Degree in Theatrical Lighting Design from the University of California at Santa Barbara which was where she learned how to use light and color to make spectacular scenes which translates beautifully into her glass work.
