Whimsy Art Glass Studio's Profile
Bio
Whimsy Glass Art Studio is my retirement dream. I started doing stained glass over 30 years ago and about five years ago changed over to fused, doing just about the same thing except cooking my designs in a kiln rather than soldering them together. The result is a much more resiliant product. My studio is currently in a huge garage on our property but that is about to change! Whimsy Glass Art Studio will be moving to a storefront in downtown Custer (yes, there really is a downtown Custer!) We will be located in an old brick bank building (built in the 20's, empty except for storage since the 30's) that is about to undergo a great renovation. It will allow us enough room for both a gallery and a work studio...sweet! We will also retail glass and supplies on a limited basis to other glass artists. We hope to be moved to the new location by September 2011. Custer, by the way, is located just off I-5 less than ten miles south of the Canadian border. So if you find yourself in our neighborhood, please look us up!
