Mastercraft Lead-free Solder - 1 lb
I use only Lead Free as I have a child in the house and the lead can go through the air vents and everything. I have always known that this is the less preferred method as it is thought that Lead free Solders are harder to work with. I wanted to find one that I could purchase at Delphi with the rest of my supplies. I finally got up the nerve to try this solder and all can say is WOW! I love it! It leaves an even better bead line and "level pools" very nicely. It lets you leave the iron on it a little longer to get the perfect dome without turning too thin and running too quickly. It has even taken the patina better! Granted--I use a scotch pad with Dawn to clean the flux/solder before hand--but I used the same method with other solder and did not have as good results as with the Mastercraft.
I wish I would have tried it sooner!
