Fun but a little dissappointing, March 8, 2010 3 stars

Pros
Cut small designs for jewelry that would be impossible with glass. You can use a paper punch for really cool shapes. Very easy to use. They slide right onto the glass without wrinkling or tearing.

Cons
I'm using a microwave kiln and the paper doesn't have the depth and sparkle that the glass does. The paper seems to become almost transparent. I tried lowering the power but the results aren't much better.

Other Thoughts
I'd like to know if the results are better using a traditional kiln.

Pros
These slides work very well and are easy to use. They're high fire so they can be used in the microwave kiln.

Cons
They really lack pizzaz. I've found them to work best fused on top of the glass but that doesn't give any depth or wow factor. You have to fuse to a light background.

Other Thoughts
These are fun to try and cheap enough to experiment with. I'm a beginner so take my comments with a grain of salt.
