Bio

My early artistic pursuits included wood carving and ceramics. Later I found my true passion in the creative process of mosaics. Learning from different teachers around the country enhanced my skills and heightened my enthusiasm. The mosaic medium allows for working with a variety of surfaces and there is no limit to the types of glass, tiles, beads and other objects that can be incorporated into a piece. I especially love to work with 3D objects and have most recently been applying the art to animal skulls. Seeing the animal take on a new and creative identity is rewarding on so many levels. The process continues to enthrall me and challenges my imagination to expand and be open to new avenues of creating. What more could I ask for?
