Pros
Great size and dependability. Doesn't require 220. Even heating. Wonderful digital controller.

Cons
I have had the side coils try to work out of their troughs twice in the past year. The corner pins keep coming loose on the coils. I've had to have maintenance done on it twice.

Other Thoughts
Would I buy another one though? Yes, I think I would despite this design flaw.

Mosaic Ceramic Texture Tile Mold

Pros
This mold makes a lovely pattern when you fire irridized glass face down on it.

Cons
I just wish it could be bigger. I could really use one between 8 and 12 inches in diameter.

Other Thoughts
You'll get deeper relief in your pattern if you use boron nitride spray instead of kiln wash. But once you go boron, you can't switch back to kiln wash.

Business Card / Napkin Holder Mold

Pros
You can make some nice business card holders with this but they are kind of wide. You have to put a lot of cards in there.

Cons
I have the older one without the flared sides. If your cooled glass sticks, just soak the mold with the stuck glass in a bowl of cool water for about 15 minutes. It comes right off after soaking.
