  •   Easy on arthritic hands

Pros : Easier to make cuts compared to other nippers.
Cons : After about 20 nips I have to stop and use the provided Allen wrench to tighten the screws. They get wobbly very quickly

Pros : These are fabulous for 1 or 2 mm precision nibbles and will save many trips to the grinder. These nippers are beautifully well constructed, lightweight and easy to hold.
Cons : They will not snip more than a thin sliver at a time. They will not nip thin glass or mirror. The way I hold my glass to nip, they catch and pinch my skin. Expensive.
Other Thoughts : I would give them 5 stars if my intention was to purchase a "supplemental" tool for making tiny shaping nips. BUT, I needed to replace my dull old wheel nippers and these won't cut a half inch or even quarter inch at a time. They will not nip thin glass either. It was a big investment for a very limited use item. I still need to buy another pair of nippers for regular snipping strips into mosaic squares as these won't do that job at all. Big dissapointment because they are a quality tool, just for a different application.

  •   Worth the price tag

Pros : Clean, fast, accurate nipping with very little pressure needed to make cuts. I spent so much time before looking on the ground for pieces that flew away before, and the attached bag. Arches anything that I've cut. I wish I had bought this long ago...expensive, but well worth the price.
Cons : Can't think of any so far
Other Thoughts : Using these are saving me time and lowering my waste AND mess in my studio.

Pros : If you are prone to hand, arm, or shoulder pain like me, these nippers are fantastic. They do not send a jarring vibration up your arm like other popular nippers. The cut is smooth and easy on the hand. And I think they make better cuts than other nippers. I absolutely love them and would not use anything else!!
Cons : A bit pricey, but these are worth every penny.
Other Thoughts : You will be making mosaics for years to come. Invest in good tools that are not hard on your body and you will be a happy mosaicist for all those years!!

Pros : Brilliant to use, even on italian smalti. Accurate and far superior to any other nipper I have used. I have very small hands and it is great to find a product that requires little effort to be effective.

Pros : These sit well in my hand.
Cons : The replacement wheels are $50 for a pair, and I cannot determine any significant difference in the function of these vs. less expensive nippers. There is nothing WRONG with these, just basically not worth the money for moderately heavy studio use.
