Butterflies are free to be colorful

Pros : Great detail. Good size.

Cons : Can get thick. Need to experiment to get the right weight of glass in mold.

Other Thoughts : A slight slump gives these dimensionality and personality.

A favorite

Pros : Great detail, excellent size.

Cons : Need to experiment to get the right firing schedule for optimal thinness. I don't measure but mine run about 2.3 grams @ 1400 top temp.

Other Thoughts : I prefer thin butterflies with a lot of powdered frit details. Take care with metal inclusions. The wing attachment to the body is very thin. A better design is a strip of clear glass w/ little bit of fiber paper to make the hole for the hanger.

detail is amazing

Pros : very detailed. able to fuse wires for antenna.

Cons : butterfly turns out beautifully but is heavy and kind of big for incorporating into projects

Other Thoughts : would like a smaller size as well
