Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project

Class Description: Create your own custom writing pen and try your hand at beadmaking all in this 2½ hr workshop. Students can choose from a vast array of glass colors to make several unique beads of their own. Make for yourself or give as a special one of a kind gift.. No experience is necessary.

Safety: Please do NOT wear open toed shoes or sandals. Long pants are recommended but not mandatory. Natural fiber clothes are best, cotton, linen, etc. Long hair should be tied back. Safety glasses must be worn, glasses are provided in class if needed.

Tools & Materials Included: Glass rods, use of mandrels and torches, hand tools, and pen with shaft for beads.

Additional Tools & Materials: None - Just show up and have fun.

Blown Globes and Plate

Other Thoughts : This was a gift to my daughter in law . She LOVED the experience. So much so we have set up another class in November. We are going to make some pumpkins.

Excellent fun, Terrific teacher

Pros : Fun, easy for beginners, made items that can be gifted or turned into something else (plates). Lots of choices as far as colors and options for "decorating" our plates. It was terrific!

Cons : Delphi Glass isn't closer to where I live. That's the only one I can think of.

Other Thoughts : I've been to a few classes at Delphi and have not had a bad experience ever. It's a great way to spend time with my adult daughters. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the classes, the shop, or any products I've purchased there.

Blow globes intro class

Pros : Relaxed atmosphere and very hands on with set up. A lot of encouragement during the work and individual attention.

Cons : No cons. Nothing I can think of as suggestion. It does seem like it would take a dozen tries to get the hang of it!

Other Thoughts : I will definitely take another class!

Awesome Class!

Pros : Great class. You get to make so much in so little time. Wonderful color selection. If Val didn’t have what color you wanted she would go and find the color you wanted. Will be taking this class again!

Cons : I can’t think of a single con.
