Class Description:  Join Master Cold Working artist Kent Lauer for one of the most unique glass classes anywhere. For the first time in years I'll be teaching a new shape for the Faceted Dichroic Pendants!! You'll make beautiful, faceted dichroic glass pendants using dichroic glass from Coatings by Sandberg, and learn awesome cold working techniques at the same time. This exciting hands-on class will cover all aspects of creating these breathtaking pendants, from cutting 1/2" thick glass with a diamond saw, to laminating and beveling. Two thin layers of Dichroic glass will be laminated on the bottom of and in the middle of two layers of beautiful Starphire glass, then ground and polished into an incredible jewel. Not only will the students learn to make the dichroic pendants in this intensive class, at the same time they are learning the basics of cold working and beveling and laminating with UV resin. It's really like three classes in one. Class size is limited to ensure individual attention. Students will have the opportunity to make several pendants, which in value, pays for the class, not counting the knowledge they will take away from an incredible day. The students will have the option of affixing bails to the pendants the day of the class, using beautiful solid silver or silver plated custom findings made for this class from Amate Studios, or taking them home to wire wrap them, or have them set in precious metals. Please be aware that this class is very hands on, you will be standing for hours, and using your hands to hold the pieces you are working on against fast moving diamond discs.  Please visit my website www.KentLauer.Com

Safety: Please do not wear sandals if cutting or handling glass. SAFETY GLASSES are recommended and will be provided if needed.

Pros : (The two day Kent Lauer course: It's brilliant.) But for this one, CLEAR THE SKIES, SUPERMAN. Make way for Kent Lauer and his two colleagues, Paul and David, who guide us through the skill sets to make these multi-sided pendants. You'll use beautiful dichroics, grind, grind some more, polish, polish some more. The concept of layers of dichroic and especially-clear glass leads to such a beautiful product. We were all supported from beginning to end. Truly, any of these pendants are one of a kind. Amaze your friends. Gee. Amaze yourself.
