Pros : This iron provides a consistent heat, providing for an even bead, and feels good in my hand.
Cons : The Mica 100W takes a long time to heat up. It also tends to short out somewhere in the heating element. The iron cannot be taken apart to fix the connection.
Other Thoughts : I have gone through two of these irons in the past year. The first one was replaced under warranty, but I am not even going to get the second one replaced, even though it is less than 6 months since I purchased the iron.
