great little foiler 4 stars
By 3rdoldhen on April 29, 2011 - See all my reviews
Pros : We have 2 of these, we use them all constantly. Though these take more time to set up, I think they split the foil from it's adhesive cover quite well and allow me to speedily foil my glass. I do not try to start it in the provided slot however, I just use it as a third hand to hold the foil.
Cons : Takes a little longer to set up, but it does not let the foil just run off it's track of it's own accord either.
Other Thoughts : It is all in the set up and how you use it.It is not an "automatic" foiler, but with the variety of glass textures, it works very well.

Its ok 3 stars
By michaeld002 on November 22, 2010 - See all my reviews
Pros : Faster then foiling by hand and more even then hand foiling.
Cons : Have to keep a close eye on it because the fail backing will stop separating as it should.
Other Thoughts : After playing with it it seems to work much better. Like so many things with working with glass, "practice makes perfect!"

Not a good buy 2 stars
By Tut on June 1, 2009 - See all my reviews
Pros : Good design. Needs more work on the details. Could be made to be a great tool but still not there.
Cons : Overall design is good. Details are a problem. Clearance distance is critical so it will work but it is hard to set and maintain. The tension on the rolls is not consistent- settings do not hold. One time they tighten and then they get loose. I can do foil quicker and better by hand. Save your money and just practice doing it by hand. Remember we are doing art. Tools are not always the best answer.
