Pros : It's nice to have all the hardware in one package.
Cons : I wish it included a bushing for where the cord goes through the glass.

hardware kit 3 stars
By bakerbe4 on January 20, 2009 - See all my reviews
Pros : It does come with 4 brass rods for the 4 sided lanterns. I haven't wired my lantern yet but the supplies look like they're good quality. The 8' chord is a nice touch also so you're less likely to need an extension chord.
Cons : Kit doesn't come with the bushing described in the table lantern book. The book says to drill a hole in one side of the lantern install a 3/8" brass bushing, and run the chord out of that hole. Perhaps because Delphi is advocating using the brass rods and wood base method they think that the chord can run out of the void between the bottom of the lantern and the base. However, this is not spelled out anywhere and for a hardware kit that accompanies a book, you'd think they'd match up or provide alternate directions. I like the look of the wire coming out of the glass better than below the glass so I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get a bushing.
