This carousel horse started as a child's spring horse.I started my process by patching the holes where the horse was joined to the frame and then gave a base coat of spray paint. I next spent hours and hours hand cutting Spectrum glass for the body of the horse and glueing it in a way that mimick's actual horse hair. I used Van Gogh glass and mirror for the saddle and halter strap. Glass gems have been used throughout, and after a couple month's work it was on to the grouting. I custom colored the grout to either match or contrast each color on the horse. Kraftkote is the next step,as i love to use it on all my mosaic's as it makes the piece's very touchable. I have finished the horse with a multi-fiber mane and tail that is beaded throughout with crystal's . After three month's of work and some flower's and umbrella base for his stand he is ready to go.
