Pros : Works great. PMC3 is pretty easy to use.
Cons : Lack of instructions
Other Thoughts : I didn't have any big flames or cracks. This is a fun kit for beginners but you should get some tips and pointers before you dive in.

Pros : Very easy to set up, hot pot is great!
Cons : It doesn't come with a how to work with pmc3 book.. so, do your research. I lost a lot of pmc3 just trying to figure the little things out.
Other Thoughts : All in all this is a good buy. Well worth the money. Just read up on tips on how to handle pmc3 if you don't know already.

Nice intro kit! 5 stars

Pros : Complete basic tool kit to make jewelry within a couple of hours. Everything you need to try out this exciting craft, including instructions for a matching pendant and earrings set. Within a couple of hours (most of that just playing with modeling clay for ideas) I had a new pendant necklace...great for gifts! You can probably create a unique hand made piece of silver jewelry nearly as fast as going to the store and buying it!
Cons : There were a couple of things listed in the instructions that came with other kits, but nothing that would stop you (e.g. guides to achieve proper thickness of clay, paintbrush). My hot pot did crack on the first fire but the instructions said this is OK. There was a pretty big flame out of this hot pot (6-7" higher than pot). Be very careful where you decide to use it. I will probably only fire this outside in the future. Even if nothing is nearby, it is a bit of a worry.
Other Thoughts : Definitely invest in some modeling clay to play around with first. Remember to cover the plastic patterns with a bit of cooking oil - in fact I think the patterns may not work without doing this (from experience!). The fire screen requires some bending and I ended up getting quite a cut from doing this. It seemed very easy so I didn't think! :) Some utility gloves would be good to wear at that point.
