About Edco
Copper foil is what makes the Tiffany method possible: wrapped around the edge of each piece of glass, it gives solder something to bond to, so shapes too small or too curved for came can still be joined. The width you choose decides how heavy the finished lines look, and the backing colour decides what shows through the glass at the edge.
Delphi carries Edco in copper, silver and black backed foil. Silver backing keeps the line neutral under clear and light glass; black disappears against dark glass and patina; copper reads warm and traditional. Foil sheets are stocked as well as tape, for wrapping larger areas or backing a piece entirely. Keeping the width you use most in stock is worth doing - running out mid-panel is a genuine nuisance.
