  •   Great little reducing torch

Pros : Very Affordable Easy to use
Cons : This torch has a reducing flame, so you will never get the full color effect of glass requires an oxygen-rich flame to strike (like some borosilicate colors)
Other Thoughts : Overall, I would consider this to be a great (possibly the best) 'amateur' level torch. Great for the casual lampworker, but a pro lampworker will probably want to consider an oxy/acetylene torch instead.

Pros : I have used this torch in Art Classes and found it to be excellent. I bought another type at the local hardware, but it does not produce the results that this torch does. Buy it.
Cons : None that I can think of excel perhaps it could be sold with a clamp for the gas cannister.

Pros : Since I am starting to do glass blowing I found my other head just didn't give me a big enough flame to keep all the glass hot. This one does. So far I am very happy with this head and would recommend it.
Cons : None that I have come across yet.

Pros : Its small so its easy to transport. You can use either MAPP gas or propylene. Heats glass quickly and evenly. You don't need oxygen or tubes and confusing gauges.
Cons : Can only work on smaller pieces. Anything over 3 inches doesn't heat evenly and ends up exploding.

  •   My favorite torch

Pros : Reduction glass, like raku, gets more beautiful colors in my hot head than in my mini-CC. My hot head torch also gives me more glass control than my hotter mini-CC which makes it superior (IMO) for doing detailed designs in glass.
Cons : It is loud.

Pros : Can make beautiful beads and is great for beginners.
Cons : Once you discover flameworking glass is for you, will need to upgrade to do more advance techniques or to use reduction glasses.
Other Thoughts : Perfect for beginners to try flameworking without a huge investment.

Other Thoughts : This is the second brand/model of torch I've ordered from Delphi. It's not a fancy torch, but it has been rock solid and produces a nice reliable flame.
