Adult educator for 21 years. Designed and managed government sponsored programs for adults who are in the midst of career transition. These services involved providing workshops in areas of job search, career planning, retirement planning and occupational skills training. I am now a retired fused glass artisan, attempting to explore a new world of creativity. I am an active member of, and volunteer with the Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans.

Pros
The roll is great for storage in a small shop. The paper can be reused for a second firing. Easy to clean up.

Cons
Texture is not quite as smooth as thin fire. No other negatives.

Other Thoughts
I agree with the comment posted regarding a cutting blade on the box. It would make this produce much easier to handle.

MR-97 Boron Nitride Mold Release - 4 Oz

Pros
Is convenient. No pre firing required. Great for stainless. Works best with standard firing temps up to full fuse.

Cons
Expensive versus kiln wash. At extreme fusing temperatures, you must spray the mold each time.

Other Thoughts
We tested against a less espensive brand of boron nitride spray and MR-97 is the one we decided to stay with based on performance.

I absolutely love this product. I prefer it when making bowls or plates that require double thickness rather than stacking glass. No bubbles. Very clear. Gives a beautiful base finish.

Cons
None, other than I wish I could stock more of it.

Other Thoughts
Try it. You will like it. It costs per sheet, but is cheaper than putting two layers of glass together to form a base.

These are so handy. I have 4 and have ordered 8 more. I use them to support my kiln shelf when doing drop moles to allow more room in the chamber.

None. Great to have around.

I have used this torch in Art Classes and found it to be excellent. I bought another type at the local hardware, but it does not produce the results that this torch does. Buy it.

Cons
None that I can think of excel perhaps it could be sold with a clamp for the gas cannister.
