• Latex or nitrile glove

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cover the work area with newspaper or kraft paper.
2. Collect all supplies needed for the project and place them on the work surface.
3. If using a pre-cast stone, skip to Step 8.
4. If casting your own stone, use a paper towel to apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly inside an 8” mold.
5. Place 5 cups of Jennifer’s Outdoor Cement into the mixing bucket or a mixing bowl and slowly add 12 ounces of water. Wear a dust mask while mixing. Add additional water, 2 ounces at a time, until you reach a pourable consistency.
6. Pour cement slowly and evenly into the mold; gently tap sides of mold to release any air bubbles in cement.
7. Once set, 5-12 hours, remove the stone from the mold by turning mold over and lifting the edges. Allow stone to completely dry for 12 more hours on newspaper before proceeding to the next step.
8. Trace the stone on a piece of paper and create your design or use the included pattern. 9. Place carbon paper over the stone and tape down, place pattern over the carbon paper and trace the pattern. Remove carbon paper and pattern. Retrace over markings to make pattern more visible.
10. Place glass following the design or to your liking, make sure to leave 1/8” space between pieces
11. When you are satisfied with the look, pick each piece up and glue using E-6000Adhesive down to the stepping stone, remember to allow for 1/8” space between each tile and about 1/8” from the edge.
12. Allow glue to dry overnight.
13. Mix ½ cup of white grout with 4 tablespoons of water, stir to reach a peanut butter consistency, if the mixture is too dry, add more water a small amount at a time until you reach the right consistency.
14. Spread the grout over the tile, filling in all crevices. Apply grout to the edge at an angle to give the stone a nice, clean finish.
PROJECT TIP
• Never dispose of grout or cement down the drain.
• To save time, use pre-made stepping stone base purchased from your local home center.
