Pros : The stand is great - saves on wear and tear of your back! The stand which comes with the kiln does raise it off the floor but not nearly enough and that stand does not roll. The wheels, which can be locked, makes it much easier to move the kiln away from a wall, sweep under it and so forth. This is a big kiln and weighs a ton - the stand makes it so much easier to move!
