Charlotte Champlin Art's Profile
Bio
When not daydreaming I am observing. People-watching is a favorite pastime of mine. I work the hours that work for me. Whatever time my mind start firing up I structure my day accordingly. I take time for solitude. Not actually a loner, solitude is a key to producing my best work. It's hard to find that inner creative voice if I'm not getting in touch with myself and reflecting. Turning life's tragedies around is important. My art has been inspired by gut-wrenching pain and heartbreak. Challenges can fuel great art. I have used hardships and early-life trauma for creative growth. I have found that trauma has helped me to grow in appreciation of life, relationships, spirituality, personal strength, and seeing new possibilities in life. When my life was shattered to bits I picked the best pieces and made a new mosaic of it. Fearlessly I seek out new experiences sensations and state of mind. Curious always asking how and why I am open to emotion and fantasy. I am an explorer of my inner world as well as the outer world. Having failed and failed BIG, I am no longer afraid of failure! It is part of my learning process. Importantly, I no longer take failure personally. If something does not work out I try something new. When in the "flow" I act from internal desire, rather than a desire for external reward or recognition. Time stops, I create, that's what I am an artist.
