David Howard is the founder and creative force behind Uncle Dave’s Art Studio, a family centered space where beginners, children, and seasoned creatives alike are invited to explore without intimidation. Working across fused glass, pottery, painting, mosaics, and mixed media, David is drawn to art forms that transform raw materials through fire, color, and hands on process.
His work often weaves together symbolism and storytelling. Whether kiln forming glass into luminous scenes or shaping clay on the wheel, he is fascinated by how broken fragments can be fused into something whole, how light passes through layers, and how art can quietly point toward hope, faith, and renewal. Pieces like Striving for Peace reflect his interest in movement, spiritual themes, and the human reach toward something greater.
Beyond his personal work, David is passionate about creating accessible art experiences. Through workshops, open studio events, and community collaborations, he encourages people of all ages to discover that creativity is not reserved for the naturally gifted but is something we are all invited into.
When he is not teaching, firing a kiln, or sketching new ideas, he can likely be found dreaming up the next class, planning a community art event, or being followed around the studio by Snickerdoodle, the resident Goldendoodle and unofficial greeter. ??
