Bio

I always wanted to do mosaic but was afraid - I didn’t know how and was I creative enough? On a vacation in Barcelona, inspired by Gaudi, I took a 3 hour class. I was hooked. I came home and just went for it. Initially, I only did ceramic mosaics, but a friend invited me to her studio and taught me a lot about glass. I got a grinder and a Taurus ring saw, but I use them only occasionally. My work is pretty raw and imperfect, and that’s how I like it. I get better with time, but some of my first pieces will always be my favorites. I can’t imagine how I spent my time before I started doing mosaic.
