A beginner used these in our workshop to make a US flag magnet. They fired nicely and didn't get brown.

Pros
These snip cleanly and are great to pair with a wheel cutter. Using a wheel handle to break straight cuts can be tricky for beginners. We were glad to have a few of these for our fusing workshop for complete beginners.

Other Thoughts
You can have a few people share these in a classroom setting. You don't need a pair per person.

We did a fusing workshop for beginners and these were simple, inexpensive, and worked well.

Cons

Other Thoughts
I like to pair them with running pliers too snap the glass apart. Using the ball end might be trickier for beginners or young glass artists.
