Bio

Thia Eades is an eclectic artist. She retired from the USAF in 2014, and moved to Michigan. Thia practices all forms of fiber arts from fleece to garments, weaving, quilting, embroidery, felt work, and basketry; along with dabbling in wood turning, silver-smithing, and wire weaving/knitting. In 2019, fueled by overcoming a fear of fire, she took her 1st class of bead making at the Flint Institute of Art. Thia has gained an understanding of the science/alchemy of soda-lime glass and respect for the torch. She enjoys incorporating her glass beads and glass creations with all her other art adventures.
