Bio

Glass inspires me with its transparency, its luminosity, its vibrancy, how it interacts with the light – changing as the light changes. Sometimes the light is strong and vibrant, sometimes it's soft and misty. I am continually exploring ways to capture the light in my fused glass works. Many of my pieces begin life as an image in my mind's eye which becomes a sketch which is then translated into cut glass layers and finally fused and slumped in the kiln. Each step in the process develops and enriches the original vision. It is a hands-on, eyes- on process that constantly surprises and invigorates me.
