Glass Trans-Fusing's Profile

Bio

After receiving my Visual Communications degree and designing trade show exhibits I became anxious to seek another more creative, less restrictive artistic path. I’ve always been intrigued by glass, so I taught myself design and production of leaded stained glass windows. However this art form also had its limitations with straight edges. After many years at Dental Labs and many thousands of porcelain teeth I truly needed to get back to my artistic roots. Accidentally learning about fusing at a supply store it sparked my interest. No kiln time could be found to rent for many months, so I purchased a book over the internet, Bullseye fusing glass, and a kiln. Thus began my journey. Warm glass’s temperament of analysis, detail and variability suits my artistic personality. With the technique of multiple layers it has afforded me the opportunity to experiment with balance between light, color, and movement in depth.
