Bio

I have been doing stained glass and mosaics since the 1990s. My husband thought I needed a hobby and after taking a number of classes and buying equipment, I was off to my lifetime interest. We were ocean blue water sailors for many years culminating in 6 years cruising the Mediterrean where I was fortunate enough to see many ancient mosaic sites and artifacts. This only increased my love for mosaics and stained glass. I have done stained glass windows, pictures, lamps, etc. for local customers and friends. Among my mosaic pieces are pictures, pet photographs, garden sculptures, street signs and a large oval mosaic "Opening Night" for the new foyer of our local little theater.

January 28, 2021

Making 11" x 69" stained glass on top of existing transom. will divide into 3 pieces because of length. would it be better to use one long piece of u zinc came on top & bottom & just put 2 ea.11" pieces vertically soldered in to separate for strength or should I just make 3 separate panels? I don't like the reinforcing bars or rods for my design. Or, would reinforcing steel strips be better. Concerned about buckling & installation. thanks
