DL 3000 Bandsaw, April 21, 2010 4 stars
Pros
I am a full time studio artist with over 20 years experience using professional level scroll and bandsaws with wood. Considering I had NO experience with wet saws or glass, the transition was easy and I have been able to teach Mosaic students to use my 2 DL3000s easily and with a high degree of safety. I somehow got the tension messed up while changing a blade and the Delphi and Diamond Tech staff were helpful. I had to send the saw back to Diamond Tech for re-adjustment but it was free and they were very kind in not over emphasizing the error of my ways. Be cautious in aligning the blade and adjusting tension on the wheels. The main issue for me is safety and find this to be easy enough to use that even a beginner can be confident enough to practice safe cutting. Very much like the adjustment for cutting thick/thin pieces. A good, reliable piece of equipment for frequent use by multiple users.
Cons
Water does splash everywhere (each saw sprays in a different direction) and does not stay contained in the drip tank. I have had to remove the plastic tubing from the pump numerous times to clean it out. If you don't keep the water tank clean all of the residue filters thru the pump and clogs the tube.

Not worth the $$$$, April 21, 2010 3 stars
Pros
These sit well in my hand.
Cons
The replacement wheels are $50 for a pair, and I cannot determine any significant difference in the function of these vs. less expensive nippers. There is nothing WRONG with these, just basically not worth the money for moderately heavy studio use.

Wheel Nippers, April 21, 2010 4 stars
Pros
I teach mosaics, so the 10 Nippers I own are in constant use. They are great for cutting small ceramic shape tiles as well as shaping vitreous glass. Sometimes problematic with stained glass that is too thin to fit between the wheels. The wheels DO come loose with usage, but are easy to tighten. Wheels dull quicker than I would like but replacements are inexpensive. Basically a solid and reliable studio tool.
Cons
The plastic coating on the handles frequently split and come off - so I just re-wrap them with duck tape. Not a great solution but it works.
