Sandra A Wills's Profile
Bio
Sandra A Wills is a multi-dimensional artist known for her jewelry designs and warm glass creations. Before focusing on jewelry and glass, Sandra studied graphic design, and worked as a technical writer, editor, and documentation manager. She has always loved making art and it has been a constant throughout her life. Whether painting, sketching, knitting, working with glass, or designing jewelry, Sandra is almost always expressing her creative side. ***
Sandra creates original and one-of-a-kind jewelry designs with the intention of showcasing the beauty available in natural gemstones. She believes that wearable art should not cost a fortune and enjoys the challenge of creating pieces that are unique from one another. Aside from visual aesthetics, she is very aware of and works with each piece to ensure it is balanced, moves well, and is comfortable. ***
She also enjoys making one-of-a-kind glass pieces; examples of her work include vibrantly colored pendants, plates, and bowls, accented with dichroic glass or painted with glass-line pens. Glass is fragile, difficult, and temperamental, yet it is also one of the most durable of all mediums. The love of a challenge, plus her eye for color and design, make this a very natural extension. Sandra especially loves the way glass looks in different lighting--depending on the time of day, if it is sunny or cloudy, or how the piece is lit, art glass is rarely seen the same way twice. She hopes that each glass piece she creates is as individual as the person to whom it speaks. ***
When not crafting, she often works as a freelance editor (http://editor.mouf.net) to help pay the bills as well as helps her wonderful husband keep track of their two cats, two dogs, and very energetic toddler. ***

Royal Silver - 96 COE
My husband thought it looked like metal more than glass. Looks best, to me, on darker glass to get the darker/brighter silver. Looks lovely over the pale gray transparent glass, too. Cut very smoothly.
