Bio

Just a little bit about myself; I am a mixed media artist, I work in glass, fiber, silver clay and paints. My art is a mixture of inspiration, perspiration and determination. I create for the simple reason that I must. I often find my best ideas come at that time of the early morning when I am neither awake nor asleep. My business is named "G*B*U" which stands for God Bless You (as if you hadn't already figured that out)! I feel called to create art for the Lord and hope you will find these items fun and uplifting. In 2007 I became a certified Silver Clay Instructor with Art Clay World USA and began looking for opportunities to teach this fascinating medium. “Guided Play with metal clay!” Since earning my certification I have had the great pleasure of being published three times. The first time was online in the January 2008 Craft Report and the August 2008 issue of Fired Crafts and more recently in Fired Crafts Magazine April 2009 issue. My education in art has consisted mostly of gifted mentors, beginning with my Grandmother Esther, Art Clay Worlds’ talented instructors, Adult Education courses, HGTV and the many magazines devoted to artists! I am currently enrolled in an Adult education class to learn more about fine jewelry techniques and hope to add a variety of silver items in the future.
