Spectrum Clear Rain Water

Spectrum Clear Rain Water

Item# S100RW
Wonderful, December 7, 2011 5 stars
Pros
Customers love the pieces I make with this glass. It is a beautiful inner border in panels.
Cons
It's hard to find in irridescent.
Butterfly Angle Guide With Angle Duplicator

Butterfly Angle Guide With Angle Duplicator

Item# 5439
Again, scanty instructions, October 31, 2010 1 stars
Pros
The butterfly angle guide will likely prove useful in some future projects, after I determine its usefulness by trial and error. Ditto the angle duplicator.
Cons
It will not facilitate my creating diamonds, and the instructions are not detailed.
Other Thoughts
I'd really like to be able to utilize the full potential of Beetle Bits equipment. It's a shame that seems to be up to me.
Morton 3 And 12 Add-On Layout Blocks

Morton 3" And 12" Add-On Layout Blocks

Item# 7165
basic equipment, February 8, 2009 5 stars
Pros
layout blocks are basic stained glass construction equipment. With 12" and 3" pieces, you can come up with a good combination of lengths for your work layout.
Cons
I would like a package of just 3" layout blocks to be markets as well as the 3" and 12".
6 Layout Block System

6" Layout Block System

Item# 7156
great to have on hand, February 8, 2009 4 stars
Pros
These are handy to have on hand when the larger piece need more length. They are small and avoid awkward excess layout block sticking off the end of my project. I tend to use more of the six inch pieces, and keep several projects in various stages of completion, so these are put to good use.
Cons
They accommodate small to large projects best, and I have longer layout blocks I use for large projects.

Great help, February 8, 2009 3 stars
Pros
Step-up worksurface is a great help in grinding with a 1/4" bit. I can hold pieces steady, and do an exact grind on small, deep inside curves.
Cons
I've had trouble keeping the bit wet unless I hang a drip bottle with the hose aimed at the bit.
Splash Shield With Bottle

Splash Shield With Bottle

Item# 7377
favorite splash shield, February 8, 2009 4 stars
Pros
I love this splash shield because it is tall and has a reinforced top edge to hang my splash bottle. I use the splash bottle form my upper grid on one grinder to keep the 1/4 inch bit wet. On another grinder, I use the bottle to add extra water to the grinding disk. The Slash shield has plenty of room to accommodate longer pieces of glass. It's a great product.
Cons
I use a 30" wide by 18" deep space to set the grinder and splash shield on. It's never been a problem, but some people with a small work area might not want to use that much room.
