Bio

Jacqueline’s sculptural work is highly personal yet retains an aesthetic that speaks to us all. She emphasises the brilliance and beauty of glass – allowing it to ‘come to life’ with light, colour, texture and form. As an emerging artist with an un-abating passion for glass art, Jacqueline King has already built a solid reputation for excellence in her unique glass practice now having created an extensive body of work and been recognised in the US Publication 'Best of Worldwide Glass Artists' plus many other art publications in Australia. Exploring two seemingly disparate themes of environmental health & mental health, each piece is designed and crafted in her off-grid workshop west of Tenterfield, NSW, Australia. Work is sought after by private collectors, several regional & capital city Galleries. Jacqueline is also an experienced curator, arts events coordinator and teacher of glass. Working with cold glass & kiln formed glass, salvaged timber, steel and natural elements including shells, seeds, precious stones and even snake skin & leaves, her work is ever expanding and exploring larger wall mounted and external sculptural pieces and commissions.
