"We must share how to make art or it will be lost."
With 25 years of my professional career in graphic design and marketing, I find myself focusing on the WOW factor when creating art. I love to tell the viewer that there is a bowling ball under that mosaic or the concrete leaf is not real but once was!
I have moved through the fine arts from watercolor, stain glass, quilting, glass beaded jewelry and now mosaic and concrete forms. I am a very tactile artist: I move and work fast like my personality and enjoy finishing a piece in one sitting.
I never really have a complete picture in my minds eye of what my piece will look like when it’s complete. I always start with a simple line and work outward. My pieces never cease to amaze me how everything magically comes together. Even the failures can be turned into a positive by just a little more work, different view point or even saved to appear in another piece.
My goal as an artist is to share the knowledge of how to make anything into something and have FUN doing it. You don’t have to feel creative to be creative, or be an artist to make something artistic. Just to be given the opportunity changes the energy into inspiration and I find passion for your piece follows. WOW!!!
