Hi

You could either use hobby lead came for the edge or apply copper foil then tin the foil after being applied.

Yes 1/4" will work but won't add any real strength to your panel. You may want to consider using 1/4" U channel zinc which will add some strength to your panel.

JIML comment on Tiffany-Style Lamps: My First Lamp

Hi Jenny

Concerning the Odyssey 22” hanging head dragonfly lamp. Here are some answers to your questions.

You will want to position the wing pieces flush to the form next to the head. This will make the other end of the wing pushed out away from the form. I would bridge the gap with foil and then solder over it.

The equator or line that you don’t solder is at the top of the wings. This will allow you to carefully remove the soldered top and bottom sections. You will then solder the 2 sections together. It would be helpful if you had someone helping you hold and position the sections while you are soldering them together.

The dragonfly heads attach to the bottom of the wings.

I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to ask.

Warm regards,

Jim Ladd
