Bio

I have been doing glasswork for more than 15 years. The love of glass runs in the family. My mother took a class and taught me and my brothers the art. Since then, I have made everything from small sun catchers, pendants and fused glass to mosaic murals and large windows. I also enjoy teaching students of ages 9-99 the art form. I refer to my art as “glass therapy" and compare the techniques of glass to putting together a puzzle. I enjoy working with the colors and variations in glass. It is a wonderful stress release. The ideas for my work stem from everyday life. I love every aspect of working with glass from making traditional stained glass panels, the challenge of incorporating unusual items in my work, utilizing mosaics in everything from bowling balls to shower stalls and the beauty of fused and slumped glass.
