Bio

My name is Alla Sharkova and stained glass is my passion. All my works are original, I create my own designs. My inspiration comes from everyday things I see all around me, and as I work on each piece I come up with a short story. The finished product then becomes a postcard, an illustration, a mood snapshot. I rarely repeat patterns, and if I ever do, I use all different kinds of glass, so every panel is guaranteed to be unique. Often I use glass nuggets, agate geodes, cups, wine glasses, and crystals in my designs. I think glass is an amazing medium and possibilities are truly endless - a beautiful sheet of glass or a cup bought at a yard sale can be such a great catalyst for ideas! I have another Delphi store - ASHglass - that I will be closing in the next day or two, as soon as I move my items over here.
