WSW Glass Design's Profile
Bio
WSW Glass Design, a division of Wetsel, Schaefer, Westhoven & Assoc LLC, whose principal partners are Bruce Wetsel and his daughter Allison Westhoven. WSW specializes in all forms of stained glass whether leaded or jeweled - often working with bevels, and jewels. Bruce began the study of design, creation, and restoration of stained grass over 40 years ago, in a studio in Chicago area. After ten years, the family moved to S. California, where and his daughter, Allison, joined him to work out of a Laguna Beach, CA studio owned by Eddie Martin, whose stained glass works are in Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm among others. Bruce taught stained glass part time in the Eddie’s studio. While living in S. California, Bruce & Allison also learned to make stained glass lamps at Paul Chris' Studio in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Paul was one at the few studios in the country specializing in L.C. Tiffany reproductions and restoration. Bruce eventually moved the family to the Seattle area, by way Texas and Hawaii; and Allison finished her college studies, and graduated from Cornell University. Other than the love of the arts, both Bruce and Allison have separate professional lives. Bruce is semi-retired from the airline industry, most recently as COO of Island Air in Hawaii. In 2010, Bruce was named one of Hawaii Top Executive by Hawaii Business publications. Currently, Bruce is VP & Managing Partner for Airplanners LLC. Allison is the VP of National Accounts at Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
