DichroicBevels and Jewels's Profile
Bio
In my youth I desired to make many things with my hands. Years later I saw about 20 minutes of stained glass cutting and soldering. I was so profoundly inspired, with bought materials in hand I made my 1st panel 3 days later. Having seen only about 10% of the processes, I resolved to fill in the blanks of how to do the rest with my own ideas. Since then I developed patentable and marketable ideas concerning glass both in stained glass as well as fused glass. With no formal training in glass or art whatsoever, being 87% colorblind and basically no original drawing skills, I used my God-Given inventiveness to hone my own skills of innovation. With my mathematical mind, I can see sequences that allow my drafting skills to shine in symmetry as well as the abstract.
I have "Synesthesia" which is called the mixing of senses. It allows me to hear colors and see sounds. When I make a panel, it's like making music on an intuitive level. I've won 1st place in many Art Festivals including Best of Show in a St.Louis at a show called Salute to The Masters. Hundreds of panels, doors and sidelights later, my main focus is on Sacred Geometry and Abstract. I've greatly reduced making complicated designs previously, to seeing strength in simplicity. I specialize in Dichroic Stained Glass Bevels and Jewels and feature them in most of my works. I share many of my ideas on youtube to help and inspire others and I am so grateful to be blessed with God-Given skills and resolve to invent and innovate never agreeing with being handicapped in any way. I believe that art like everything else is going thru a huge transformation, a Spiritual Renaissance perhaps and I am fully involved.
