I'm relatively new to the stained glass world....took basic lessons two years ago and have been setting up my own studio and learning as I go ever since. I am a glass addict....or I should say, a color addict. In addition to glass, I collect fabric and paper...some of which I'll probably never use, but keep for inspiration, as long as it lasts!

Solder Wick

Pros
As a newbie to stained glass design, I am really trying to get my glass cut to the right size and get the solder looking good. This product does work well, but due to the thin width, a little solder uses up quite a bit of the wick. I have used it very successfully to fill gaps where solder doesn't quite cover.

Cons
It takes a good bit of the wick to remove a relatively small area of solder.

Other Thoughts
Would love to see this in 3/8" in width, or slightly wider. Works great to fill small gaps. Very flexible and disappears within the seam.

Pros
This stuff really sticks well. If you need to reposition, you can, but do it quickly...the longer it sets, the harder it is to get off. It burnishes beautifully.

Cons
The adhesive does get messy if you tear the tape during burnishing. Just be gentle...it's worth the effort.
