Bio

Exquisite glass - my creative passion. Trained as a fine artist, I have worked with many different materials before falling utterly in love with fused glass. The unimaginable colors drew me into a world where a piece of lovely but very fragile glass can be transformed into a glorious, amazingly durable work of art. I have developed my own innovative style that I feel combines realism and abstract expressionism, creating art that is a natural blend of both. I work with a special type of glass called dichroic glass. Dichroic glass dates back to the 4th century AD and due to the wonderful reflectivity, dichroic glass has been used by scientists to separate and filter specific colors of visible light. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend - I have seen how tragic the effects of cancer can be on family and friends. To help those who are involved with preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer, 10% of the profits will be donated to the Cancer Research Institute. Let's all work for a cure.
