Aanraku Thinline Pattern Shears
They look like they should work will with a large sheet of paper laying on a desk. (The offset allows the blade to stay parallel to the table.)
Only cuts cleanly for first 3/4 inch. After that, it only cuts on one side -- which is worse than not cutting at all. The tips don't line up -- which may or may not be part of the problem. The handles are comfortable in the hands.
This is designed upside down. I would prefer to cut with the inside blade on top -- so you see that you are right on the pattern line. The handles were only slightly less comfortable if I held them upside down. uncomfortable cutting either way.
