Bio

I've been an avid crafter and recycler (I was brought up using and reusing things that were still viable rather than throwing them out - so I've been doing that long before it became fashionable) all of my life, but it's only recently that I started working with tiles and it seems the universe is pushing me into that rather than it being something I started by choice. Simply because a local tile store found out that I wanted a few tiles for a craft project and gave me some but then started giving me all of their discontinued tiles, so now I have heaps and heaps of them in our garage, outside the garage, in the storage area in our house and you name it. I also recently won a book (out of all the contests I entered) on working with tiles and mosaics and then I found the contest here for the bottle cutter and as a result this little niche to display my crafts. So it seems someone up there wants me to work with tiles - though I have no clue why as I am a novice at it compared to the wonderful artists works I see displayed here, I can't begin to compare to them. I would love to win this, because here in Quebec, most bottles other than plastic pop bottles canNOT be taken back to the store for refund, so it would be nice to be able to use the bottles for other purposes besides tossing them out.
